Komo Live was used as a fan engagement digital activation by the Western Sydney Wanderers FC for their exhibition match with Leeds Utd FC. The activation was sponsored by Wanderers FC game day partner, JD Sports.
The activation was a great success. This was the first game that Wanderers FC played in the brand new Bankwest Stadium and they put on a show both on and off the field. Both the team and its sponsor, JD Sports, wanted to build their fan database as well as growing awareness amongst the fans in the stadium.
The activation was held at half time and had the fans in the stadium competing against each other in a bid to win the major prize of $1,500. Every fan that participated also won a small prize just for playing.
An activation of this nature allows clubs like Wanderers FC to demonstrate to their sponsors the ROI of their sponsorship agreements in a data-driven method.
